Making a Murderer won’t be Netflix’s only true-crime documentary series: Emmy-award winning director Error Morris is working a six-episode true-crime series for the streaming service.
Morris, the documentarian whose 1988 documentary The Thin Blue Line (watch it on Amazon or on Netflix) established new ground in true-crime storytelling, from its reenactments to an actual, The Jinx-like confession, never mind Morris’ clear mission to prove someone’s innocence. He went on to win the Academy Award for The Fog of War, subtitled “Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara.”
What’s his new series about? All he said in a Slate interview was this: “It’s one story, over six episodes, so far.”
